I cannot think. I cannot write.
This is because I am angry. Anger that we have been cheated by a system that is supposed to sustain us.
Anger that the mandates of our people have been stolen by a bunch of egoistic individuals.
Anger that those who supposed to rise and lead could be easily bought or threatened into submission.
Anger that the agents of the state are killing & maiming our people with guns bought by the people’s wealth.
Anger that those whom so much have been given by God could be so easily cowed.
Anger that those who should show the way are rationalising the injustice done to our people.
Can this go on?
This hydra headed beast called corruption and greed that has recently subdued our people in the name of one individual may have to be confronted.
Our people should remember that there is nowhere in history where freedom have been easily attained.
People have to obtain their freedom by any means possible! Freedom to choose those who should lead them, Freedom to choose who should speak for them, Freedom to choose those who should represent them. Yes! Freedom to choose that which is theirs by Divine rights.
We should no longer accept imposition as it is a rape of justice. As imposition contradicts the United Nation Charter.
People should be free to choose without manipulation of votes in elections. We reaffirm the Charter of UN that states, nations should
Save succeeding generations from the scourge of war which has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights,
faith in the dignity and worth of the human person, faith in the equal rights of men and women,
faith in justice for all and equitable distribution of resources;
faith in the respect for the obligations arising from national constitution like conducting a fair and free elections,
faith to promote social justice and human progress and better standards of life in larger freedom and in peace.
Yes! We are a people in bondage today.
We have to seek our freedom from our oppressors. Freedom will not come by sitting on the fence.
Freedom will be elusive if we adopt the wait and see approach. Freedom will not come if we fail to confront our worst fearsToday I cry for freedom. Will you weep with me?
